Fitness Members of the Month – February 2017
Congratulations Kathleen Belmont!
Meet another “Movement for Lifer”, Kathleen Belmont. She is a native Paso Roblian and an inspiration to all to stay fit and strong. She is dedicated to living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Kathleen’s “WHY” – I am 63 and plan on staying flexible and fit for as long as I am able. As I age, proper form to prevent injuries is imperative! I want to run and play with those grandchildren who will be arriving soon!
A few words from her coaches, Jennifer Myers, CPT, L1 PN Nutrition Coach.
Kathleen brings laughter and positivity to the morning group. She is a disciplined hard worker that does what needs to be done even if she doesn’t want to do it 🙂 She is quite the strong woman role model and inspires me to find the good in every situation. Jennifer M.
Kathleen shares more on her journey to live a fit and healthy lifestyle; as well as her experience at San Luis Sports Therapy – Paso Robles.
I had been attending Slender Lady in Paso for a while. I hurt my back in 2004 and after recovering from that I decided I should go somewhere where I could seek professional advice on what I could/should or couldn’t/shouldn’t do. I joined SLST and have remained happily here since then. I have always felt confident about the information and advice I have sought.
I am a Paso Robles native and my husband, Keith, and I have 2 boys, Paul and Matt, who are in their early 30’s. Our son, Matt worked here at SLST for a while before heading to Oakland to PA school. He taught the 6am class and Keith and I joined in on that and had a blast!
I have always liked to exercise to stay flexible and fit. Sometimes working on my own and other times belonging to a class. What I really like about SLST is the personal attention I receive. I have worked with a personal trainer and really appreciate the step by step instruction I receive while exercising. I have worked out in classes and also receive reminders of proper form while exercising. As I age, proper form to prevent injuries is imperative! IF I get injured, or say I’m recovering from a shoulder surgery, the very professional staff is here to help and restore my body to normal. I also receive hints and advice on good nutrition which I am always open to. I have met several friends in class and we are all accountable to each other which makes me motivated. They feel like a 2nd family now and we have great fun! I appreciate the smaller size of this gym as it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
I am 63 and plan on staying flexible and fit for as long as I am able. I want to run and play with those grandchildren who will be arriving soon!
Thank you Kathleen for being such a strong, healthy and fit role model.
