Fitness Member of the Month – January 2017
CONGRATULATIONS BILL SIEBOLD!
Fitness Member of the Month
Bill Siebold is an inspiration to our members and team at San Luis Sports Therapy Paso Robles with his commitment to an active lifestyle and regular fitness. Bill shares in his own words how investing in his health has paid off.
Zest for an Active Life
“We moved from San Diego to Paso Robles six years ago and I became less active. I tried working out at two different local gyms but could not seem to develop the self-discipline necessary to keep going. Knee issues started to show up and in early 2016 I began contemplating knee surgery. After noticing an advertisement for San Luis Sports Therapy and their offer of a free consultation, I made an appointment for a Strategy Session. Based on the evaluation, they designed an exercise program focused on increasing knee strength and flexibility but with an overall body-conditioning scope, tailored to my specific needs. I began the program.
I enjoyed the workout sessions from the start, even though some of the knee exercises required tolerating some pain. To my surprise, after a couple of months I found that I could climb stairs without taking them a step at a time. Improvement has continued and I can now do weighted squats and leg presses with little discomfort. Balance and strength, common concerns for older guys like me, have improved noticeably. The magic here has been the variety of exercises and frills that staff develops to target my personal goals.
At the outset, I was a little concerned about the cost of the program. But after ten months of participation, I consider the money spent here as an “investment” and not an “expense”. My wife and doctor agree with this assessment.” Bill Siebold
A few words from Bill’s fitness coach, Jennifer Myers, NSCA Certified Personal Trainer & Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach.
Over the last ten months, our members and team at San Luis Sports Therapy have come to enjoy hearing the adventures Bill has taken in his airplane or on his motorcycle. He continues to work diligently with our team to keep his knee pain from slowing him down and to build strength resuming his power lifts. His dedication to a positive mindset and physical activity including weekly personal training sessions and dancing with his lovely wife really are just a hint at his zest for life.
Wishing you a Happy Early Birthday, Bill!
P.S. We forgot to mention earlier Bill is nearly 83 years young.
